Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
The Arts

A little known fact is the fact that Hilton Head Island
has some great visual and performing arts resources. The Arts Center
of Coastal Carolina produces 5 plays or musicals each year. In addition,
the center has its own choral group and holds several performances during
the year. Other artists perform at the center offering a wide variety
of listening pleasure from blues to jazz, to pop, to big band and more.
The Centers Walter Green Gallery, showcases an exciting mix of visual media styles from national exhibits, statewide exchanges and community artists.
If you are an artist yourself, or at least an aspiring one, you may hone your craft with some of the visual and performing arts workshops,
lectures and field trips which provide professionally guided youth and adult learning experiences.
The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina also brings the community together
with a number of festivals each year including the Community Holiday Tree
Lighting, the Taste of Gullah, Youth Arts Fest and Family Fiesta Latina,
featuring locally known and nationally known artists.

On those rainy days, or on those sunburned nights, its a great time to head to the movie theater.
